just wondering if it is pretty simple to replace the jewel?

does it come off easy and when you want to put another on there, what do you use as an adhesive? i want to do this to my box, but never have done it.

also do you have to buy a mod for leds? where can i get that if so...thanks

Replacing the jewel is pretty easy. Take the cover off and use a heat gun underneath the case (where the jewel is). Get it nice and warm and use a very small flat head screw driver and try to lift it up. If it doesn't easily lift, its not hot enough. Make sure you use a very small flat head!

When you remove the old one, there should be lots of sticky residue left that you can just pop the new on. If not, ya, a little bit of glue should work.

Never tried a hair dryer, should work and long as it gets hot enough to soften the glue that holds the jewel in place. Worth a shot!

Man..and this is just me..but I tried that dental floss way...it has to be the worst way to remove a jewel LOL!! You are just making way to much work for yourself IMO. Maybe its cause I used dental floss that probably belonged to my grandmother when she was 12, but still, it was painful.

Heat gun and a couple and a minutes...done.

i like the hot watter methed take a cup of watter put a little dish soap in it put cup in the microwave for 3 minuts then pore watter on jewel just enoff to cover the jewel wate 30 minuts then take a butter knife and pop it off you just need the knife to get under it thers no force needed it comes right off as for sticking it back on that depinds on what you are doing with your jewel if you want it to light up then a little hot glue will do the trick if you are just putting a dif one with no lights then dubel side tap or hot glue (dont use supper model or crsy glue it will mess up the jewel)

Or, if you couldn't afford any of that, you could cover it in tin foil and shine a torch at it!

The sky's the limit! Very Happy

I assume if you're having LED's, your new jewel is clear? Do you have any designs on it?
