I have a softmodded xbox, and i am purchasing a 120gb hdd that is lockable out of a chipped machine, without formatting the drive would it be possible to switch the eeprom to mine and lock it using this method http://xbox-hq.com/html/xbox-tutorials-211.html ?

You don't need to change your eeprom if all your doing is upgrading your HDD. What you need the eeprom for is to lock the new drive to your xbox. Use xboxhdm(if your familiar with how it works, if not let us know) with the eeprom to lock the drive, drop it into your softmod box, and as long as the dash files are in the right place on it you''ll be all set to go.
Keep in mind that the drive needs to be unlocked from the chipped box, and that the drive will either have to be softmodded fresh or already softmodded. _________________

It could work exactly as it is currently. I would love to give instrutions, but we need info first:
Is the drive coming to you unlocked?
What hacked dash is installed(not as an app), and where is it installed?
Is the MSdash still intact and unchanged in C _________________

then your gonna have to totally remod it then. You can grab xboxhdm 1.9 and a copy of MS-c from pirrups sig, or I can grab you the link for it. Not unless you have backups of your C and E off your current xbox. _________________

The HD was formatted and loaded with AID. Evox is on the C drive. All the apps and emu's are on the F drive.
Figured I'd ring in since its my HD that he's getting..lol.
Originally, he wanted to furnish me with his eeprom.bin info, but I didn't want to jump through any extra hoops as my time is a little limited. I figured he'd be able to lock it on his own.
Thanks for giving him a hand. _________________ Xbox 1.4
