Here's my situation:
My roomate wants me to mod his xbox for him because he deleted some files from his mod on it and now it's useless.
Tools to work with:
-pc(s)
-xbox(x 2)
-extra crappy computer that will never be used again unless it's for scrap
Im assuming i will have to reformat the xbox harddrive and put the bios back on and also get some kinda hack that we can play burned games on it.
What i need to know is how do i reformat the HD and put the bios back on (what file do i need to obtain also for the bios) ((and could i find a pre-hacked bios somewhere?)) and how could i put the hack onto the bios without a game glich or action replay thingy. basicly sraight from pc to xbox.
It's asking alot i know but thanks to any that will help out this poor useless xbox....

Well you could buy a mod chip and it'll be fixed quite easily. Or you could try the Hotswap method. I'm not too familiar with that, but maybe someone could tell you more on it. _________________ Moddingbandit

well a softmod has no bios to mess with, its just a software hack, and looking at the tools you have you can return the xbox to the original state by a hotswap but you wont be able to remod it unless you have an action replay.
Now the other xbox, is it softmodded as well? _________________

It is not actually, the unmodded one that works is mine the other is my roomates. I was thinking to mod it though. And if i do get an Action Replay what would i do from there?

Wel you would download AID 3.0 and get the SID 4.5 saves off of it and then put them on your AR and then put them on your xbox. Then just follow those instructions and you will be successfully modded. The manual is quite simple and very helpful, and if you run into trouble, we ar ehere to help. _________________ Moddingbandit
