Hello,
I am new here, great site. Anyway,here is what I need some help with.
After softmodding, everytime I put an xbox live game in it updates something. I have untinstalled the softmod, and XBL games update it again. I have then tried to reinstall the softmod, after the update, and it always goes back to needing the update again. I have tried booting with the game in the drive, and I get the same problem. My question is, can I get on XBL with a softmodded system? If so, how? I have an upgraded HD in the system, and I am using the 007 exploit.
As of now, I have uninstalled the softmod again. Some step by step instructions would be awesome. I have followed some that I found on other sites, but it isn't helping. I would really appreciate any help, thanks a ton in advance.

You cant play on XBL with a mod running on a xbox, hence why SID 4.5 was made, with its dual boot = retail feature you can play live and still have a softmodded xbox.
It works like this, by hitting the power button it will boot the softmod mode, so you can play emulators or burnt games, etc.... now if you were to press the eject button to power up it will boot to retail mode where you can play XBL with the original disks. But you cannot go in XBL with a active Softmod or Hardmod. _________________

I realize I cannot go on LIve with the softmod active. I have tried the method where you power up by hitting eject, and Live still installs something. I am not sure I have tried SID 4.5 method, but I will try to do it. Hopefully I can find the download for it somewhere. I do not have an action reply. If I softmod the way I know how to, can I ftp it over to my HD, then uninstall the softmod, then reinstall it using the SID 4.5? Sorry if that is a stupid question, but I am still learning:)
