You can always use a can of pressurized air to blow the dust off, or Maxell sells a good lens claener that actually has Xbox on the packaging. That's what I use.

Not right on it.. Laughing You hit the sides of the tray and the air will flow past the lens.

why not buy a new drive you can find a thompson drive sometimes for cheap I got tired of cleaning mine and bought another drive cause cleaning it only seemed to work for so long. and if you tweak it its not going to last forever.

I take it you want a thompson tweaking guide. I hope you have nimble fingers because it has to be adjusted precisely. http://www.llamma.com/xbox/Repairs/thompson_potentiometer.htm

wow thanks alot hellblazer this is what i was looking for Razz so basicly i have to get the muti meter and test on that scuare to get the amount of number and i change this number by carefuy messing with the screw thats under it ?

Quote:
Now adjust this screw counterclockwise until it reads a lower number (suggest 100 unit increments). A little goes a long way in adjusting this screw. After each change completely re-assemble and test the drive. Repeat until the drive starts working or you reach 800. If it still does not work at 800 get a new drive.

and i can pratice on a thompson that doesnt work Very Happy
