The eeprom that you ftp'd to your computer may have been saved in the wrong location. When you build the xboxhdm disc, make sure you put the eeprom.bin file in the linux\eeprom folder of xboxhdm.

This maybe be dumb so please bare with me but I just installed my HDD and the AID3 disc made me a new eeprom while I was formating and preparing it? It was the last question in the menu and it asked me to where to put the folder at??? Did it do this for you or is it because of the softmod that you can't do this??? Also there is a member here that can make you a new one so your out of this jam

@TheRealHypnotiX
Put your stock hdd back in the xbox. You can back up the eeprom with EvoX from the system menu or config magic found in AID. The back up will be save in the e: patition of the xbox.

@pson
You can save the eeprom anywhere you wish. I would save it in e: and in f: (if you have). It's also a good idea to save a copy on you pc.
Are you looking for someone to build a xboxhdm disc for you?

That'll be ok. Remember, since it is running off of your pc, any type of disc should work. Xboxhdm will fit on a cd-r or rw so no need wasting a dvd.

Did you use the eeprom from your xbox?
What steps do you do when you locked it?

Unlock the hdd with xboxhdm. Then re-lock it.
Don't opt for a password. Xboxhdm will generate one for you.

The eeprom file size should be 256kb. Try using another application to make the file.
