I have read that thing over and over and I can’t figure out what’s wrong. The first thing I did was try to back up the MS Dash and it said it needed a rename. I did back up the eeprom to E. I tried to install and it could not find the backup of MS Dash because it wouldn’t let me make one. Now when I use splinter cell to load it gets to the SID 4.5 menu bet then quickly starts loading splinter cell. It starts loading before I can use any SID menus. What gives?

what is the current conditions of the xbox? is it modded or un modded? 2) can you load the linux ? that way we can put a retail ms dash on C . 3) does aid 3 run? or backed up games ? and fianly where did you get these saves? do you have aid downloaded in your pc? _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

1. The XBOX is fresh out of the shrink wrap so it's not modded in any way.
2. Not sure, if I load the LINUX save state in Splinter Cell the UnleashX logo pops up and I can get to the SID menu but before I can even do anything the SID 4 loading screen pops up, the LED turns solid orange and splinter cell boots up. Once Splinter Cell boots up I can try to load the Linux save state again but it just does the same thing; Unleashx logo, SID 4 menu for three seconds, SID 4 loading screen, and then Splinter Cell boots up on its own.
3. EDIT: Sorry, noob mistake. I'll make a game backup and try it out.
4. I could only find the AID 3.01 update pack, not AID 3.0, So the save states are from the torrent file: +-Demonoid.com-+_Softmod.Installer.Deluxe.4.5.Nknave.Edition.Xbox-Hq

P.S.S While the SID menu is popped up for a few seconds it shows that the XBOX version is v1.0. Is there something I have to do to update that? I popped Halo2 in and played a few levels but I'm not sure if that did anything.

since the xbox has not been modded delete those game saves and exploits and re download new fresh ones... sounds like you got curpprted ones... on the aid fourm you can see aid 3 download .....

Ok, I used the save files from AID 3.0 and the first thing I tried to do was Create MS Backup. I get a Failure. It says
Batch process failed.
The last item found was: FOUND EXISTING SOFTMOD.
Action: Rename
I have checked the AID and SID pdf files and I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. Any help?

ok this is normal , when you run linux you need to ftp a retail ms dash file to C folder ... look @ my tut if you dont know how . its eiter this or harder things... the ms dash is also on aid 3 .....
the xbox was previously moddded somehow otherwise you wouldnt get this error... but try to ftp a clean ms dash to C folder..
of course delete the other c WHEN YOUR FTPING... if you delete it now you just get in more trouble and error 21. _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

Gus, one of the requirments in your FTP tut is "- modded Xbox running a hacked dashboard (FTP)"
If I can't backup MS Dash then I can't install the softmod or the dashboards so how can I use the FTP? I don't know if I missed something but it sounds like I have to softmod my Xbox before I can softmod my xbox and it has me confused. Please help.

when linux is activeated you are temp modded so you have ftp acess.... so run linux go to its settings get your ip use flashfxp connect and transfer a (downloaded ms from aid 3 should be there or see the useful links under newbie section its sticky) but before transfering it wipe out C but make sure to INSTALL a ms dash on the C again or you are going to have more trouble and get error 21 _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

Thanks for all your help. I just used SID 3.1 final and AID 3.01 and it works fine, maybe I'll try 4.5 again later but I don't really see the point now.

sid 3 wont do it... it blocks xbox live... you know its really easy since its modded.. just run aid 3 again and go to advance isntall sid 4.5 then back out on the root of the menu and INSTALL MS DASH .... the reason why you isnstall ms dash , that why you wont run into batch procesing error : softmod found... _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition
