I just ordered a LE Kasumi blue Japenese xbox . I plan on modding it with an X3, blue X3CP, X3 IR, plus lights like my two American xboxes only with a 320-400GB hard drive. Now I know with the chip enabled you can play games from other regions but obviously you cant sign into live with your chip enabled. I'm wondering if it is possible to get on xbox live with either my American copy of Halo 2 or a Japanese one but play on the US servers.
Where in the xbox is the information detailing the region of a console stored and can that information be changed to allow you to play a Japanese Xbox in North America on Xbox Live. I mean is it in a file located in C:\ or did Microsoft have a more sinister way of preventing people from importing all the cool LE systems that they wouldnt allow Americans buy? Im going to be hard modding this system with the Xecuter 3 and flashing BIOS 3294 once it arrives. Has anybody had any experience with geetting online using an xbox from another region? I'm wondering if the region is coded somewhere in the EEPROM and a simple unbanned EEPROM flash would do the trick.

I'm not sure what the impact would be if you had the MS Bios flashed to one fo the banks on the chip. It's a thought though. _________________ I think I like fixing Boxes more than using them!

I had set up a .net passport account with a japanese address and everything to be able to download JP only 360 exclusives. It would be pretty cool if I picked up a japanese copy of halo 2 and could play on the JP servers. Although I hear the Japanese hate halo.
