I know this is already prolly posted somewhere and I have spent a few hours searching with no solution. I have a friends XBOX which he says has never been modded in anyway. I installed everything fine on my system using sid4 but on his it won't let me backup his main MS directory. THerefore i can't install anything. I believe I need to install a new dash or restore to factory settings to make it work, but I am not sure and don't want to risk anything since it isn't my BOX. Can anyone help? My dash in C: says xboxdash.xbe. Also, i tried copying all files from c: to e:\backup\ms with file browser and had no luck, it always copies from D: instead.
Any help is appreciated.

What I would recommend is first check the actual version. If you have SID, look at the pdf that comes with it, it will explain where to check the version. If it is not the right one, drop in a game like halo 2, and that should update to the new dashboard.
The other option once you have SID loaded from your exploit, FTP into it and replace C: with the right dash.
If you need the files, look for a member named Pirrup, he has a link in his signature for the MS files.
