Im trying to fix an xbox right now that not starting properly. When I was installing AID the xbox didn't have mspatch on it. So i thought I could install the MS dashboard from the aid. Unfortuntely this mested up the xbox, and on the next restart the christmas lights started and a message came up Please Service your Xbox, etc. I bought a pulled XBOX hard drive off of ebay and put it into the xbox. When I started it up the same message came up again. Is there anything to do, or is it new xbox time??

its not the hard drive it is the bios. do you have a mod chip. or can you solder. cuz you have to modify the mobo or instal a mod chip
