Hello. I desperately need help with an softmod I completely failed on. I'm rather dissapointed with the stupid mistake I've just made. I tried installing the Softmod in my XBOX, restarted it, and had the black screen of death come up.
With the tray open, it comes up to service code 13; closed, it is 13; and when I try to run Linux via my Splinter Cell exploit, 21. I can run the exploit anymore, so I think I'm going to have to hotswap the drive and install a backup portion of drive C. I don't know how to do this, so if you can find me a guide or something, I would completely appreciate it.
Now, the problem is, I don't have a backup nor do I know where to find one.
Does anyone know where I can find this backup of the original Microsoft dash? Is there an alternative to this problem, or is hotswapping the only way? Thanks for taking the time to read and hopefully help, and I hope to hear from someone soon.

heres the M$ dash and hotswap is the only way to recover your xbox _________________

OK, so now I have the dashboard. How should I go about putting it in my XBOX hard drive? Must I burn it on a CD, or how can it be done?
Also, is there a Windows version of xboxhdm? I think it's only for Linux...

you can get the xboxhdm in the downloads section and just click my first sig for the hotswap tutorial. _________________

Hotswap successful! Thank you very much... All my albums and gamesaves were deleted, but at least I have my XBOX back to normal. Thanks alot; you have no idea how much this means to me. Thank again
