The X3 install went fine - flashed to the latest BIOS 3294 - all seems well
When I put the AID 3.0 DVD in, the box ignores it and boots back into X3 Live. I disabled the Auto Boot in the BIOS - same thing happens. If I FTP from Flash FXP and put Evox on the C: partition and reboot, it boots Evox, if I put AID in the drive, it boots Evox?
So I assumed my ROM was either broke (even though I just flashed the BIOS from a DVD) or not connected fully.
When I have the AID DVD in the drive and browse the Hard Drive in Flash FXP - the AID disk is there in D: - I can browse it and copy files from the DVD to my desktp. I can also see the contents of the disk from within XBMC.
That would only leave a bad burn - but this is an upgrade from a Spiderchip - and last night I was playing around formatting the Hard Drive and installing different Dashboards so I knew what to expect. So I know for a fact the disk is working fine.
When the Box boots - I get the animation bit - the big X appears and the Xecuter rocks icon appears - I can hear the DVD being read - and then it stops, last night it was fading the big X off screen and the AID menu appeared with music playing.
Any ideas? I am at a loss to be honest. I am hoping it is just some missing software on the Hard Drive or a BIOS setting. Other than that is this Modchip faulty? Please don't say yes to that last bit.
Cheers.

I had to put default.xbe in the X3 live setting for the DVD boot.
DOH!
