dont know what chip is in there
wont load ava installer
and for some reason you have to hold the power button in for approx 4seconds then it changes xbox logo to blue for ripped games but freezes at loading screen any idesd before i open it or get it re chipped

Wow, sorry about your issues. However, I just don't know where to begin to help you. Not knowing what chip you have or what bios you have is really gonna make troubleshooting difficult. I have heard of the same boot process before, but he too didn't know what chip he had and was having similar problems.
My best advice to you is this.
Purchase a new fourth generation modchip. Xenium, Xenium Ice, Xecuter 2.3 lite or pro. Or even some of the cheaper ones like the aladdin. I personally like the Xenium.
Install the new chip, flash it with an updated bios. The only other thing I could suggest is to tear down your machine and see if you can physically tell what type of modchip it has.
It's hard to say what your problem is. Hopefully, someone with more experience may have some other ideas for you.

By holding the power button for 4 secs it loading of a different memory bank of the bios. You could try to create a boot disc like XBOX-HQ auto installer start it up and the xbox should load to the installer. Thats what i had to do. The fact that i load the installer means you might have a screwed bios in bank one.
Put the boot disc in turn the box of and try to boot of all the banks on the chip. i.e try it normally then with eject button, the holding power for 4 sec and holding eject for 4 secs other then that you cant do too much more with out taking the xbox apart.

does it boot with your modchip turned off? (probably not)
If It still plays games (backups) from the dvd rom then the modchip is fine.. Thats a good test!
It could be just some corrupt files on the xbox hdd!! The Xbox-Hq Auto Installer can fix the missing or corrupted files if it still boots backups fine..
