I wont be able to hool it up to my pc and ftp it until i get the evox dashboard installed on it. I also had trouble using Memorex CD-RW's. Any recomendations? Arita isn't sold near me.

I think i flashed m Xbit incorrectly. I used the newest Executer Bios from this site. I don't see Xecuter appearl on startup, should it appear where Microsoft has appeared?

Hey IMB,
If you want to know if you flashed your xbit correctly just follow this tutorial mate:
Just buy a couple of different brands of CDRW.. Then download the XBOX-HQ AUTO INSTALLER (it has all the latest apps in it).. Burn the XBOX HQ AUTO INSTALLER .iso file to CDRW at the slowest speed!
Then pop it in your xbox..
It will take alot longer then a dvd-r but it will work.
Another thing to try maybe would be to take the .iso file to a friends house who has a dvd burner.. Just burn it like normal but onto dvd-r.
'MADDOGTIME' is our ftp admin here at xbox-hq and has a XBIT installed. Shoot maddogtime a pm now if you are still having problems flashing..
Thanks everyone, I got my bioses installed. After opening up my Xbox about 4 times I finallt got the chip installed right at 4:30 in the morning. I got rid of the spacer and aligned it at the D0 point looking at it from all angles. However, geting a new dashboard on is another story. I need to buy some different brands of cd-rws. Memorex wouldn't work for me, and atria isn't available. i guess I will try Verbatim and Imation. Any other ideas for brands would be appreciated.

ok.. You are on the right track now.. You just need to find which media is best for your xbox.. Also make sure you burn slowly until you get it working perfectly..
Sorry we couldnt be more exact in our replies but as you would imagine there are that many different modchips and xbox configurations its sometimes hard to pin point..
