Ok So my xbox HDD died and I bought a new HDD and a spider chip. And unfortunatly I think the spiderchip is crap. I can't get into the dashboard or anything nothing will work. Is there any way to softmod my hdd and lock it to my xbox with out it fully working? So as of now I have un unmarried MB and HDD without a working modchip. IS there anyway to REFLASH my hdd? I'd like to try that. Maybe it didn't flash right the first time or something?

Wow..I really messed that up...

Ok the HDD that I bought, I bought off already has the xbox files and dashboard on it. And I tried another working HDD from my brothers box.

Is there any way to REFLASH or double flash my modchip?

Hi SS59,

Im positive the SPIDERCHIP has a programmer so really you only need to flash the modchip from your pc.. Smile

I would suggest flashing the EVOX M8 bios to your modchip but just remember to get the correct EVOX M8 bios for your xbox version.. There are 2 x M8 Bioses.. 1 x bios is for xbox versions 1.0-1.5 and the other M8 bios is for v1.6 xboxes only.

Once you get your modchip flashed.. You can then BOOT AIDELUXE (http://www.aideluxe.com) and choose to install anything you like to your new hdd..

It can install the M$ Dashboard again, evox or whatever you want.
A modchip is the easiest way to get your xbox working again
