all i did was set my network settings on my xbox to DCHP t hen turn off the fire wall and enable your network connections n restart ur xbox

this is what you need to do.....
1. Go into your xbox network and set your settings to Static, you ip address should be 192.168.0.3 your netmask should be 255.255.255.0, default gateway should be 192.168.0.1, and your DNS server should be 192.168.0.4
2. On you computer go to control panel, network connections, right click on you local area connection and go to properties. click on internet protocol and click properties, you should see that there is a a green dot on "obtain an ip address auto." click on "use the following ip address" from there type in where it says "ip address" 192.168.0.4 then click ok.
3. use a "crossover cable" to connect your xbox to your ethernet
4. restart your xbox (if its on)
5. open up the software your using to FTP, if your using flashfxp go to quick connect, where it says "server or Url" type in 192.168.0.3. Username is xbox, password is xbox, click connect
That should be connected!

xotooxflyox: I have tried your method and many others that are simalar but no luck. Im going to go buy a crossover cable just so i know that its not the problem. But according to http://www.littlewhitedog.com/content-8.html I have a crossover cable already.

lol n nwhats the difference when u put the settings to dchp and static DCHP connects without putting the ip address or any of that

try this instead of using a crossover cable, try a regular cable. because i remember my first time, i used a crossover and it didnt work but then i used a regular and it worked. i dunno y that is but thats just how it was.
