Hey, whats up?
I got a question for you. I installed the full package of emulators from the hq emulator autoinstaller and none of them work. All the screens will show up, some of them will play music, when I install roms they show up in the screen, but none of them allow me to do anything. It's almost like my controller dosn't work.(I checked that)
What am I doing wrong? I burned to a CD/RW and installed to my F Drive. I erased all the emulators and reinstalled them and still the same thing. I just thought I would ask before I tryed starting from scratch!

Since you can see your roms, then it seems that part is okay. Is this happening with all of your emu's or just a specific one?
I have uploaded a bunch of known working Mame roms. Try downloading them, DONT UNZIP THEM, and ftp them into the mameox/roms/ folder.
Launch mameox, check the rom list and launch one of them.
Let me know if you still have issues. I think I know what you are talking about. Are you using the NES Emu (FCE I think).
I have had the same problem at first, dunno what i did to get around it...can't remember.
Keep at it man....let me know how it goes _________________ Good Deals: Death@Hand, funkydopenloven, StaticMind, Slamscaper, PorscheXboxter

I tryed installing roms ,including your two packeges, into the mameX emu and it did allow me to actually select a rom. But, all it would do is show demos and I couldn't play or exit.
I also installed your rom "Mr. Do's Wild Ride" and I accually recieved an error message.
01d.bin NO GOOD DUMP KNOWN
WARNING: the game might not run correctly
I don't know if it's got anything to do with the emu's running properly but just thought it might help.
Yes, it is all of the emu's that seem to have a glitch.(probably my error!)
I did try the NES emu and that one dosn't work either.
I am getting all these roms from the dl section
I know it's got to be something simple because it's all there, I just don't know what.

I am trying to think of why you can't get any emu's to work. That is just strange.
You are not unzipping the roms are you? You need to FTP them into the ROMS folder in zip format, for the MameOX and NES ones anyway.
Where are you from? I didnt take notice of your location, so i will check when I finish this post. Maybe I can hook up with you via phone or MSN and see if I can help.

I figured out the problem. It turns out that the BIOS I was running, had a glitch or didn't support this perticular app. So I installed the Evox M8 16.fc.137.iso BIOS from the xbox HQ BIOS Pack (Very Nice!!) and almost everything worked great!
The Surreal64 Emu won't display certain ROM's and on loading, it reaches 66% or 75% then freezes the xbox. I'm not unzipping them and I got them from our VIP Download section. Thought maybe it was a bad dl so erased and reinstalled with the same results.
If I had more time to mess w/ it maybe I could fix it, but not to big of deal right now!
Thanks for the input fella's!! _________________ XBox360 Premium

Hi jason1123,
thanks for replying with how you got it fixed.. (well nearly)..
I cant believe its bios related..
What bios was conflicting withe the emulators etc..?
anyway, ill leave ya alone.. I bet your happy you just got it working.
I am having the exact same problem. I have loaded 3 diffrent emulators and I can not use the controller in any of them. The emulator loads fine and music is playing but it is if the controller is just broke. I have tried 3 controllers 2 wirless ones and the original MS controller. All three are known to be in good working order. My xbox has been softmodded with SID 2. I am not exactly sure what bios this is using or if I can even change it. This is the only thread that I have found with this same problem. Can anyone help????

my nes or n64 roms aren't RAR'd on the xbox... no real insight on the problem, just saying hope you guys get it sorted as the Emu's are one of the best things about a modded Xbox

You will need to have them in .ZIP format more then likely.. I doubt the emulator supports .rar files.. Well it could but just not very well or something..
If the .zipped files are working you could just unzip all the .rars and play them or go to the effort of zipping them all uip using WINZIP (http://www.winzip.com)..
thanks guys, but i just went ahead and downloaded a whole different set of roms that were already in zip format. saved me alot of time and work but everything is working perferectly now
