Hey all, wondering if anyone crossed this before.

I chipped a 1.4 with a XChanger V2 chip that I had laying around. When I boot the machine, I get no frag which is good, but I also get almost a totally black screen with no audio.

I can see the white text though, where it says Original Bios/ Mod Bios / Advanced options.

I can even select one of those and see the other text options, but no images/video.

If I choose the original bios I do not see a flubber screen nor do I hear the flubber screen, but yet I get no frag whatsoever.

I pulled the chip off the pinheader and inserted a used Xenium ice that I had laying around. BINGO, works fine.

Since the Xenium is working okay I am wondering if anyone has had this happen with an XChanger. Wondering if it's a bad chip or just a bad OS on the chip?

Hmmm, my first impression would be that it had a bad bios/OS flashed to it.
But then, I seem to remember a few older bioses did not have Focus video encoder support. Do you know what was on the Xchanger?

Pretty sure it was 2.1 OS....

I'll have to pull up some tutorials and see how to put on a new OS. Then give it a shot on another machine.
