I tried to redo my softmod install and now the xbox will auto play games if the disc is in but with no disc the light flashes red/yellow/green and nothing comes on the screen. Any ideas? Thanks.

If you take your softmod disk (splinter cell, etc) and put it in you should be able to load up the softmod installer and reinstall the softmod. _________________

I did the mechassault one. If I put in mechassault the "run linux" option under campaign is not there anymore.

You deleted your save game? If you can, burn the AID 3.0 (ISO) to a disc and boot up with that and try it (you said it plays games)

Not on purpose. I tried booting with the AID disc and no luck. Just get the flashing lights. Any other games play fine though. I can't FTP into it either.

I was going to try that but I don't have a backup of the eeprom! Is there any way around that? Will a mod chip fix everything?

With a true hotswap you don't need a eepromm, just gotta swap it from the xbox to the pc real quick. And load up the latest MS Dash using XboxHDM v1.9. But yeah if you rather go that route, a modchip would be the best solution. _________________
