Avoid this seller at all costs. I purchased a premod system late march, money was taken from my mastercard that very moment. I received no confirmation or order number. Nothing. I emailed asking for confirmation and tracking, no reply. Emailed again. Nothing. Used thier ticket system stating that I had placed an order the previous tuesday, gave my name and what I ordered, etc...... and then I got a reply stating "when did you order" and nothing more.
Are you friggin kidding me? The message I sent even said when I ordered, he did not even bother reading my darn message! I could not believe it!
To make matters worse I email a few more times trying to be quite calm and requesting tracking. Nothing...... Nothing...
FINALLY I threaten to file a claim with my credit card company and blamo... what do you know... that got his attention!
I got a reply stating that premods take 5-7 days to build\ship as they are built when ordered and not stockpiled. Yeah? Well guess what buddy.... It was well over a week when that message of mine was sent..... And still nothing had even shipped, no confirmation, no tracking, nothing...
He basically said I had not listened to him and refused to accept responsibility for his total and complete failure to do a very simple job. Inform his customer andsupply a product. Well, he stated a refund should be coming and I still have not seen it.... I'll be contacting my creditor Friday to issue a claim if I do not see any type of notification it has been issued.
There are plenty of awesome companies out there with whom to deal with, if anyone wants recomendations dont hesitate to contact me. I've bought dozens of consoles and parts for myself, family, and friends...... Ill be happy to help. Hell, the day I got his second reply trying to pass the buck I ordered elsewhere and guess what? I didnt have to hunt anyone down. Hell... tracking wassent within hours and the thing should be here tomorrow. Now thats service! No stress... No fuss.
Do yourself the best favor you can possibly grant yourself when seeking mod products...
avoid modchipsource.com like the plague!

I've never used them, but it's good to let folks know ones experiences so that others don't end up with the same issues.
It can be tough but it sounds like your attempt to work with the merchant has been more than fair. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

I've got three letters for ya. BBB. Better Business Bureau. File a complaint with them when you file with your credit card company. A hit from the BBB is a HUGE blow to deal, and can usually screw over a company for a while.
I've dealt with modchipsource myself once. I got my Xecuter from them. It was quick, I'll give them that, but the Xapter they sent me was highly shoddy. The screws didn't fit, and so I couldn't use it. But, I can't complain, it taught me how to solder.
Your best bet to get any results... Call them. Their phone line is kinda weak, so you might have to try a few times, but call, call call. E-mail and tickets never work with them.
My theory is, if they don't have a phone number, I don't deal with 'em. But in your case, file away with your credit company and the BBB. Trust me, those will be good enough to hit them. And if they didn't issue a refund within 24 hours of their supposed "I'll give you a refund" just issue the complaint with your company immediately. _________________ "That which does not kill you, only makes you stronger."
yeah, I called quite a few times. Also left messages. Never once a return call or answer. Its simply a toll free unmber you purchase and its nothing but voicemail which redirects to a cell or landline. One of those lines people get to make them look like a big company of somsorts...... not fooling anyone..
Already filed a complaint today with the BBB actually, thanks for the input.

Thanks for the info.
It's true - there are so many good companies out there, but when you hit a bad one you really know it. You also have a lot more patience than me, after one or two calls i would have phoned the credit card Co.
I say phone them, complain to BBB, complain to the credit card company.
and if nothing happens after that, I hear that leaving an axe in the front door or a wheelie bin through the window also manages to gets peoples attention! haha. _________________ Got an Xbox, want a better one!
