Try using Engimah Video Switcher, that should correct your black and white issue. If you're NTSC, select NTSC or PAL if Pal.
It's an easy issue.

Thank you for helping and thinking....I am stomped. I have tried everything. I soder the chip desolder the chip try a few cables. All the bios run fine with and with out the chip....The mobo looks great no solder splats, all the solder point are getting the right #'s I looked all around to see if it was hot somewhere for the solder gun and nope.... I am just worried that if I buck up and get a new mobo it will just do the same thing. _________________ The mighty V6 Passat came to chew bubble gum and kick%^* and shes all out of bubble gum!

Ya, I wouldn't buy one yet. Let's see if we can come up with something else. By the way, it should be a V 1.1 Xbox, the V1.0 always has the pinheaders filled. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

If using the enigmah disc doesn't work, try reinstalling your dashboard from scratch as well, some dashboards like UnleashX, Evox for examples, they have some tools that allow the force of 60hz on 50hz games, and forcing PAL video mode on NTSC, blah, blah, blah.
That and the eeprom needs to be fixed via Enigmah disc, if any of these don't work, than I'm sorry, but I can't do anything without the physical hardware. _________________ Xbox v1.1

Well heres the thing would that even come it yo play with the chip off not solder to the motherboard? But we did try that too....we put 3 diff ones on and even reflashed two new bios too and all that same problem...Its weird no one has ever seen this happen before?? _________________ The mighty V6 Passat came to chew bubble gum and kick%^* and shes all out of bubble gum!

Never seen it happen, but since you already tried just about everything, here's my last thing for you to do.
Use Evox to backup your eeprom.bin
ftp to pc, use live info, and make sure to set it up to have correct xbox version, ntsc or pal, acording to your region, but don't mess with the serial keys or such.
have Config Magic installed on your xbox as an app, and ftp the new live info modded eeprom.bin to it's data folder, and run config magic.
unlock your hdd, load eeprom from bin file, update eeprom, lock hdd again, and exit (MAKE SURE YOUR HDD IS LOCKED), after that, turn off and turn back on, and see if that helps at all.
And I assume your next post after you've done this will be either, "thanx knave" or "gotta buy new xbox" lol

Yup that is crazy, because his x-box is modded to and is a V1.0 and worked fine, then we put another guys modded X-box on there which was a V1.6 no problem??? I toke it home thinking oh no but its color????? We are still shocked at it. But hey I learned and did alot of crazy stuff to fix it....lol.
But I tell you what this neo geo stuff is alot harder this soldering and flashing and setting up everything.
Thanks for following up man thanks alot _________________ The mighty V6 Passat came to chew bubble gum and kick%^* and shes all out of bubble gum!
