Sorry I'm such a noobie still but I'm trying to install/use XBMC on my box. I've read the guide and there are a couple of things I don't understand. It reads:
"just FTP all the player files (after editing the “xboxmediacenter.xml”) to the Xbox using any FTP server/client application for Xbox, for example, Avalaunch, XBMP, Evolution-X or MediaXMenu."
1) How do I edit the 'xboxmediacenter.xml'? and what would I edit it to be?
It also reads:
"To add XBMC as an App to your default dashboard, the simplest method is to locate where all your other Apps are presently stored (In this example I have all my apps in the E:\Apps). Create a folder (through FTP) called “XBMC” (though you don't have to call it that it makes sense). Then FTP at least the files circled in red- Leave the .xbe labelled "Default.xbe", most of the regular dashboards are set up to scan for default.xbe and so next time you reboot the xbox XBMC should appear in your list of apps- provided all went well with the installation."
I've done all of this and XBMC doesn't appear in my choices of Apps.

so you never had xbmc installed to your xbox? run aid 3 and just click on xbmc and install it to your hd . _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

Ok, download Aid3 and install it on my pc and/or xbox and install XBMC into HD in the xbox, right? If I FTP the files over with aid3 running, wouldn't that work or is there a different approach?

You'll find a file with an ".rar" extention. Extract that file and burn the iso it creates onto a cd-rw with DVD decrypter. Load the disc into your xbox and in the "install applications" menu select XBMC.

Sorry for the ultra-noob type questions...
I'm burning the .iso right now (burning to be bootable.)
I have all the xbmc files/folders onto my xbox in E:apps.
My next question, do I want to have all the AID3 files/folders in my E:Apps before I insert/boot the CD?
My guess is yes but I'm not sure.

Ok, np. Does this order sound right?
1) Burn the .iso file from AID3 to DVD (CD-r won't work unless it's CD-rw, right?)
2) Upload AID3 files to xbox in E:Apps (XBMC files/folders are already in E:Apps.)
3) Boot the DVD I made into the xbox and follow instructions to install xbmc.
Sound right? Anything I'm forgetting (even small things?)

I mean that I have to FTP both XBMC and AID3 from my PC to my xbox (into the E:Apps) and then start up the xbox with the bootable .iso disc in the drive.
Then I should be good to go and I can install xbmc with Aid3. Does this sound correct or am I smokin' crack?

you cannot ftp aid 3 . just burn the iso and install apps to E in this case xbmc..... run aid 3 of course on xbox... thats how you install stuff lol . you can also ftp but not aid3 _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition
