There is, yes. The easiest way if your not familiar with network settings on xboxs is to get both xboxs running Avalaunch. In network settings of this dashboard there is a settings to auto-config for directly connecting to another xbox.
Also make sure that you are connecting with a crossover cable and not a patch cable. _________________

Ok ,I tried doing it both ways and havnt had any luck.I tried using Avalaunch on both boxes but for some reason when i click on File Manager on my chipped box it freezes up (works fine on the other xbox).
I tried using xboxtool also, but cant get the network settings right. When I try to connect to the other xbox nothing shows up.
Thanks Again _________________ XBOX v1.0:

Try this. Go to Avalaunch on both Xboxes. On the Xbox that locks up just stay in the main menu. On the other xbox go to File Manager then press Start. A new set of selections will pop up. Select Switch to Remote and hopefully it will work. This will also work if you have both Xboxes connected to a router (EDIT -->) w/o a crossover cable.

You cant use crossovers with a router. _________________

some, not all, routers have auto-MDI/MDI-X sensing ports, and it dosen't matter which you use. _________________

doh I meant to say "w/o" for without. You don't uuse the crossover with the router just plug them both in using regular old cat5 or 6 network cables.

Thanks guys, finally got it working using Avalaunch. I dont know if this was the problem,I had the same eeprom on both xboxes(used my chipped box to do the hdd upgrade for the softmodded box) After I changed the eeprom on my chipped box back to the original eeprom it started working. _________________ XBOX v1.0:
