I have an XBOX v1.6 wit hthe SmartXX V2 chip. I boot up my xbox and the smartxx screen comes up, and if i go to: config>bios management>flash bios>bios from cd-rom. ...Then i insert the cd with the 1024 size bios with a dummy file, then it never reads the cd. Ive tried sooo many cd-r's, cd-rw's!! grrr....does anybody have any advice or help on this matter. thanks you guys

Do you know anyone with a dvd burner?
It sounds like a media issue..
Normally CDRW is the only way for most xboxes to flash a bios.
Try heaps of different brands of cdrw and burn at 1x..

anyway, get back to us with more info..
