I downloaded the AID3 from the link on the forum.
It keeps saying that the files are damaged . I'm trying to find the
Auto-installer.delux.v3.0.iso it doesn't show up like in the manual.
Am i doing something wrong. Everything else is there but that file.
If I try to extract all the rar files , thats when i get the message that it is damaged. I tried to use the updater but I do not have the iso file to point to to get started. I am using WinRAR to extract.
When I right click on the first file as it says in Chapter 3: Preparing the AID 3.0 disc on your PC of the manual everything extracts but that one file.
Any ideas?

Make sure you have the latest version of winrar and try extracting again.. if it still happens, it's possible that part of your download is corrupt. Easiest way to remidy that is to fire up good ole bitorrent and use it with the torrent here to scan your existing files and repair any damaged ones. _________________ OTB Mods.com

Do not use cd-r. Try Imation or Sony dvd-r. They work for me. Now, if you are using a chip, you did flash the bios right? _________________

yes i am using a chip. using the retail HD everything seems to work fine. I can play originakl games. This all works on bank 2. Bank 1 gets the blue flash bios screen. I put the AID 3 disc in and it says it cannot read it. I will be putting in a new harddrive as well. I used a maxwell -r dvd and nothing.

Did you ever flash a bios into bank 1 ? If not you need to do that before you try to use AID. _________________

What chip are you using? You might be able to use bank 2 and just install the M$ dash on C and the other like evox or avalaunch on E _________________

You mean Xecuter 2.6 lite right? Try using the Xecter 4983 bios. But like I said change media type to Imation or Sony DVD-r. Just buy 1 of each and see which one works.
I found this from Forahobby. Someone was having a similiar problem:

Hi,
You need to choose a blank bank by using the dip switches.. Really you have a few different banks i think. Ill link you to the X2 Bank INFO pics.. It will explain what switches to set for each bank.
Normally one bank of the x2 will have a cromwell on it.
DO NOT FLASH OVER THIS BANK.
Once you set another bank you then try flashing it.
Once it is flashed with a bios try booting your xbox from the start.
Hopefully it boots.. If not change back to the other banks to boot again to flashing mode.

There is one bank that has cromwell bios on it. DO NOT FLASH OVER THAT BANK, like Forahobby said. Check ou the post by Hobbs that I added, it has some very useful info. Don't try anything until you read through it first. _________________
