My xbox is softmoded, I can ftp my box, I can also make iso images of games, but I don't know how to dump games in my hd. I went through all the tutorials and i got this far but have not had any luck.

First off before you copy games to the hdd, is it the retail(original) or upgraded? Retail some of the games wont fit, upgraded it will fit just fine. As to ftping to your xbox get flashfxp and theres ftp tutorial in the tutorials section on how to do it. _________________

upgrade your hd first then start burnin UR retail games to xbox hd....
xbox retail hd have usualy 8 gb some have 10 bout out of those 8 u can only use about 4 .... so out of those 10 u can only use 6 .... _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

I need more info on dumping games on hard drive. I dumped a game on partion F of my hard drive. But then how do I play it. I have a question, is it ok to dump the game in extracted format or does it need to be in iso(image)format?

what dashboard are u using i guessing evox or unleashx........
evox:(edit your evox.ini) look for "games path" E:/ and change it to F:/ it will now look in f:/ for your games
unleashx:(edit your config.xml) file to "game path" E:/ and change it to F:/ or goto file explorer goto F:/ then games then{what ever game}exp. halo2 then default.xbe this will launch the game.this also works for apps. or other dashboards.
you can get the evox.ini file through ftp
and if its unleshx you can edit tthe config.xml through file explorer
there are pc programs to edit this files some with built in ftp...
note by changing the file path if you have games in E:/ you wont be able to see them inthe dashboards unleashx "games" or evox "play games from hard drive"
i would recommened upgrading your dashboard if its evox i think evox is kind of a beginner dashboard.......
when you copy games to your hdd do you use dvd2xbox?

whats not to understand? grab ur original game and run dvd2xbox and burn it ... then go to ur game list on ur evox or unleash x which i recommend and then play ur game .... _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition
