ok, i have two network cards and a Cisco systens 350 PCI wireless LAN adapter. And here is my problem. When i have my xbox Hooked up to my comp, and i can access it, my internet does not work. my xbox is hooked directly into the network card. and my internet comes thru my PCI LAN adapter. now when i go to network connections and disable my network card my xbox is in, the internet works, when its enabled, it does not. Any one know what the F#$# is going on?

make sure your PCI card and your xbox use the same IP (static). Also make sure you are using a crossover between the comp and your xbox. _________________

ive already tried it with sharing and non sharing, bcuz i have a hub and thats how my dad gets internet with his labtop. and yes i have tried it with the hub dissabled as well as the network card that its in. I have also tried to switch my cross over cable in my xbox to the other network card (the hub's card)
So my next option would be to try and connect to my xbox thru the hub, but im not sure about what options i should change in the hubs card. ill check around on how to do that.

ok i finally got it. heres what was wrong. the static ip in my evoX's setting menue was set to use a static IP. so i made it not use one and then went to my netwrok card and changed the setttings to automatically assign it an IP. now since the static IP is dissabled. It gave it an IP anyways that it can use. TY all for your time and effort. i really do appreciate it

sounds like something on the network, probably your wireless, were using the same IP. No big deal using dhcp, but if you get the Ips from all of your devices you can reset the static on the xbox and use an Ip that is not being used. _________________ 1.6b, Xenium !ce OS 2.3.0, External 160g WD, External 250g Seagate, Double blade UFO Fan over Jewel
