caution, I am a complete idiot, I had some kid my brother in-law knew do the work other then pressing the button I can't do much more
chip is Xenium ICE
box i version 1.0
has worked well for the last year, but problem today
hit the power button, does the start/stop thing a few times then the lights flash reg/green, which means fraged correct?
if I remove the chip it will load up like a stock box, so I think it is ok
if I flip the switch it says somthing about an ide controler then says load ATX cluster. out of data while reading cluster ##########
got from HD
up at the top it says idle error 10, then it shuts off
I have removed the chip and the adaptor several times to check contacts, don't see anything wrong
so to write so much, and thanks for any help, please write all info so a first grader could follow along

Well any clue as to what you might have deleted or did in order to get this happening? You might have simply deleted some dashboard files or something so if that is what happened I would suggest putting the chip in exactly how it was....and then try loading aid 3 (if you can get to the xenium main screen)....is this a solderless or a soldered install by the way.....if its a solderless are all the points lighting up....later. _________________ Xbox V1.6

sounds like a corrupt XOS, try running a recovery from cd/dvd....

nothing has been deleted or changed since I last played it, the only time it will show anything on the screen is when I flip the switch (this is the recover swtch correct?) and then it just shows that error screen, it wont load into anything else, I aso don't have acces to a cd burner so making a disk might be a problem
this is a solderless chip, what do you mean by "are all the points lighting up"

I can hook the laptop up to it, but have not tried this before, will give it shot after work
will I be able to do this since I can not get to any menu screen?

ok so I burned a disk with the two files on it, sitck it in
with the switch in one way it does the same thing as before, with it the other way all the lights go green and then it doesn't do any thing, I left it sitting like that for quite awhile
what do I do now?

if the recovery cd didnt work I think your going to have to get your hands on a chip programer if im not mistaken. _________________

why replace it if it isnt broken? It just needs to be reprogramed.
