Hi there U lot.
After doing stacks of Reading at Xbox-scene aswell as other forrums i have finally decided to post a question .
Hopefully someone can help me out a kick me off to a good start.
The box i have is a special Edition Green Metal Halo box. (Transparent Green)
Which has a version 1.2 Bios.
What i would like to do is perform a TSOP flash.
Now, all the tutorials i have read are quite brokon up, aswell as that, the ones that i follow quite clearly , state that they are not designed for a Ver 1.2 bios.
Could someone possibly spell it out , quite short and sweet as to the exact method i should follow. Preferably the Easiest method for my Bios version.
Cheers

Hey Ren, welcome to xbox-hq. We don't have too many resources on flashing your TSOP as it isn't something we recommend. We strongly suggest that you install a modchip and flash that instead.
Unless of course you are hard-core and don't mind. I just think installing a modchip and flashing that is easier. Although some do believe the TSOP flash is more reliable when done, I personally don't know anyone who has done it and what their results were. From what I understand there is more to take into account when your are flashing the TSOP than just flashing a plain ole modchip.
I once considered trying it to see how reliable it would be or how hard it would be and I bookmarked this resource:
Don't know if you already checked that one out or not, but it's been awhile since I have looked around and that is the only info I have currently. Good luck and keep us posted on how it goes!

Cheers Real Mccloy.
Thanks for the link, yes i have read that Tutorial.. Its about the best one to date,as far as making it clear.
I see most Xbox Modders here in Nz are using the TSOP method, and with 100% success.
Its just getting hold of the Appropriate Methods etc that are involved with it.
The No-Modd method stands out to me due to its simplicity of not requiring a Chip to be Installed. The 1Mb bios Splitting method looks good to me aswell, but sadly my box only has a 256kb Flash Bios.
I have previous to this Project installed a Messiah 2 Chip in my PS2.
This i have to say was quite a mission, when compared to the original Ps1.
Anyway.. once again thanks..
I will keep u posted on my progress.

Cool, thanks for the info. I'll be looking forward to hearing your progress. Maybe you can even come up with a tutorial of your own, or even a FAQ.
