I've had my chip installed and working so I know it is good. I have a Xenium ICE and a 1.4 XBOX.

It intermittently works. One day I will turn it on and it will be fine, the next day I will turn it on and it will FRAG. I have checked and rechecked the D0 hole and the LP ports and all are making contact. I don't get it. The chip works every other day or so, so it can't be a bad chip.

Is there any other working part in the XBOX that could cause a FRAG other than the chip and the adapter?

Please help.

I have the same problem. Now after a few weeks the Xbox wont detect the Hard drive or DVD drive and I get error 7 or 11 when booting.

Have you tried putting alcohol on the contacts? - all the area where the adapter hits the board - put some alcohol down to clean it up, remember you grubby mitts (no offense meant) have been on the chip and the board is sometimes laquered. Also try 'THE PAPER TRICK' lots about it around here if ya have a look - involves wedging paper so it levers to chip to the board.

As for the HDD and the DVD problem, is the Serial cable (one going from the HDD to the DVD to the Motherboard) damaged? or not correctly put back together? especially the motherboard side?
