Is there any way to fix a fragging Xbox with this chip? I tried flashing X2 4983.67 and now the xbox frags at start up and I cannot find a way to reflash it.

I just been looking for the rest of this thread but guess this is it.
I thought that that bios was compatable with almost any chip.
I had this happen to me once with a diffrent chip, Flashed the chip with the same bios that I knew was running on an identical chip, next thing I knew it was fragging all over the place.
turned out the chip wasn`t installed 100% correctly on it`s header pins.
guess I must have been lucky.
Hope you havn`t killed your chip ( I hate it when that happens )

There's 2 banks on the chip what's the other bank do? Also you need the Sunday tools to flash this and without those tools then whatever you tried to flash it with won't even erase it so that's not the frag problem. What version xbox? What did you flash with?

I used sunday tools and it's a V1.6 Xbox. It was working fine untill I tried to flash x2 using the sunday tools. It said flash completed but when I turned the xbox off it frags on reboot. I tried the different banks and same thing. i had someone install the chip so it seems as if he did not have anything on the other bank. Is there any solution???

Just place that chip in and older box since all mods are shipped with pin headers and flash it to the proper bios since it will boot fine on any box that's not a 1.6. Any older box with a header pin is a likely canidate. Basicly you need to flash it back to M8+16 and you can edit the options you like in evotool.
Your installer should be able to help you with this. Also you could send it in for a reflash.

I'm not that technical. Can I sent it for a reflash?
I bought it from someone installed and did not receive anything extra. I have another xbox V1.3 with a tsop flash. When i take out the sunday chip it boots the xbox bios fine.
Can the 1.6 box be flashed with M8 only? How did I miss that.
