All you need for a V1.0 board is the solderless adaptor. The template and sp board are for v1.6 mobo's.

you have to use the black (or maybe blue. depends on who sold it to you) adaptor supplied. It has one curved wire on it, the d0 wire. I assume you've seen installation instructions for 1.0-1.5 mobo's. The curved piece with the 5 pins is usless in your application. Sell it on ebay.

I purchased several of your same chip and installed with no prob on 1.0 and 1.6 xbox.
I found a cople tutorials very helpfull

http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/xbox-tutorials-184.html

http://www.teamxodus.com/pictures/Manuals/iceguide.pdf

The second one contains more detailed instructions for installing but adapter is a little diferent. Just check this post again before you power on.

The adapter on the pdf files is blue and yours is black. they are esentially the same but yours has 2 rows of aditional pins. Just remember to sit your chip starting to the rightmost pins. and the ones left with no conection are 3 pins. 2 next to each other and the very first one that is alone.

Search here for tutorials. if you are really sure you have a 1.0 then instalation is a bit simpler than the rest.

this sectioncontains most of the tutorials
http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/xbox-tutorials.html

once you are done dont bother with all the dashboards there and go directly with Auto Installer Deluxe 2.11 final which will help installing dashboards, applications and emulators to current hd or if you plan to change it it will help you too with that.

if you are a VIP you will fint it in VIP download section, if you are not consider becoming one to gain access to a lot more stuff.

The OS on your chip is a bit outdated but works. If you with to update it as well here again if you are a vip
http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/downloadsvip-cat108.html

If not go directly to teamxodus website makers of your chip and download from there

http://www.teamxodus.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=11

Hope this helps! good luck.

You'll need to install a bios onto the chip. Download the Ice Guide from TeamXodus. It will show you how to install the bios.

Are you mistaking the solderless adaptor for a chip?? Do you have a Square pcb board with xenium written on one side? I hope so...
