Can someone point me in the right direction for the insructions on how to fix my partitions so my current box will handel my current 300 gig. Right now i have about 25 gigz left out of the 137 that was first partitioned (f)over 4 months ago. I think i must format my current drive and then update the bios using xbtool or something. Can someone please help with this trasition?

If you are using the AID disc you need to 'format large HDD'. I think it may also give the option to just 'format F & G drives'. _________________ LED Rings $6 (doesnt include LEDs) LED ring pic

I am using Evox 3935 with an xecuter 3 chip set with a v.05 box. Where could i find the bios i need to import into xbtool on my harddisk ( i think that is what you are talking about for formating). Also i know there is a way to format using ftp, this is how i fixed my non-booting LIVE games. So so far i have: Find bios , place on ym computer then update\fix it for the larger drive, back up my entire 137+ (or just the F?), then roformat with xbTool or ftp and re partion it and make sure g takes the rest,(137+), then place all my old data back on the drive...? is there an easier program, or just an exploit so i can update my bios w\o backing it all up? Sorry this sounds so n00b but i just havent messed with it for a while.

If you want to save the data I dont know any other way to back it up, other than FTP.
Do you have a chip or softmod? What BIOS are you using now? _________________ LED Rings $6 (doesnt include LEDs) LED ring pic

FYI - all chip manufacturers have web sites that contain all the tuts you will ever need for your chip in one place, but they are all about the same now. You can use FTP HTTP or a CD. Easiest way, boot to your chips OS, goto IE and type in the IP address.

The iceguide on the xenium site is a very good tutorial for just about anything. However, the site is down right now but the iceguide wasn't specifically from that site. If you did a search on google it would come up. If you have any other questions regarding the xenium I could probably help you with that. Hope you get everything working! _________________ Xbox V1.6

OK, so here is the delema now, i just installed m8 plus x2 5035 (patched for large drive support) and got rid of the buggy m7 bios, now in XBMC and other programs i can see the g: drive, yet no memory has been allocated to it. As is nothing really changed, i still have the same 25 gigs on f: yet g: did not "take the rest," as i thought it would. I see that you have a 300 gig installed on yours, and does your let u access all that space? Do i need to just reformat, then g: will be allocated with the remaining 180 gigz +? and if so, is there an easy program for doing so? I know it can be done in an FTP client and i can format all drives through xenium OS but i dont think that is the correct way to go about it.

no, not yet. Thats my next step im thinking. After i back all 110 gigs up . What should i format it with, because before i had a problem with live games and had to FTP format it. Also do i only need to back up f:, and then just format f: and g:. Will the box recognize the formatted parts, or is partitioning neccesary

what dash are you using.....for instance...in evox i think i had to go into the preferences (settings) and it said something like use f drive: yes use g drive:no which i had to change to yes......if that doesnt work i think there was something also in my evox.ini file which you would find by going to via flashfxp or something like that it had the same thing....that i mentioned earlier......you might be able to get away with just doing that for it to read your g drive and using aid you might be able to setup your hdd for larger hdd support (160+) and format the g drive but not f, etc....which possibly would keep your games and then just do something like prepare g drive to set it up....to be honest with you....when i did my 300 i just started it all from scratch so i am not completely sure how to keep your games without ftp'ing them over but what i mentioned above may work in theory. good luck and let me know how it turns out.
p.s. you may want to create a sig like mine so people will know what you have and can make a better assessment which = faster answers _________________ Xbox V1.6
