Couple of weeks ago I installed a DuoX2 Cromwell/Seagate 160 into a 1.6 Box. Installed, flashed and ran Auto-Installer Deluxe 2 in less than 30 minutes. No problems.
Yesterday, tried to do the exact same thing (DuoX2 Cromwell/Seagate 160/1.6 Box) but with this one i get the multi-language "service required" screen.
I assume the DuoX is installed correctly because it'll boot Auto-Installer Deluxe 2 and also DVD-/+R & CD-RW games with the stock HDD. Put the Seagate160 in, and I get the "service required" screen of death.
Tried master & slave settings.
Am I overlooking something simple? _________________ *Xbox 1.4.

Problem solved. It ended up being a defective hard drive. Up & running now. _________________ *Xbox 1.4.
