I have this problem where the original XBX dash laods instead of Evox. THere's a post about this already but my situation is a little different. Ya see, I already had evox installed and running fine, i could launch games from my HDD, use trainers, whatever. I hadn't actually laoded the dash in a few days but everything seemed to be in order. Even the EvoX icon thing was there durring the flubber intro jobbie. But today i tried it and it just brings up the xbox dash. I haven't done anything since last time except play games(regular commercial DVD games mind you) and suddenly it's gone. I checked and everything is still there, nothing's missing. Even the trainers that I left on are still working, but no EvoX dash. Please help!

P.S.:Please keep in mind that I don't want to pay to become a VIP and get AID, especialy since it worked fine without it. Thanks.

You dont have to be a VIP member to gain access to Auto Installer Deluxe AID.. I dont know why you think you do..

Go and download it for free using BIT TORRENT:
http://www.aideluxe.com

You just have to learn how to install bittorrent software.. lol

But, if you seriously want help and access to everything in our VIP sctions all in the one spot i would suggest it..

You are going to need Auto Installer Deluxe and then you can boot the AID.iso on a DVD-R in your xbox and reinstall whatever dashboards, apps etc you want..

AID has over 60+ apps etc.. The only files you will ever need.

Well, there's a few problems with that.

1. I don't have the 19 hours it would take to download AID from torrent.

2. I don't own/have access to a DVD burner.

3. IT WAS ALREADY WORKING! I just need to know how to get it back without downloading anything else. Hell, I still have my boot disc.

I did remember that I locked my HDD and unlocked it agian, would that have done it?

We need more info.

What modchip do you have fitted and what bios?? (if any)

OR

What softmod you have installed.

There are so many reasons why your xbox may not be working correctly.
But without more info we cant help you more sorry.

Alrighty.

I have Xenium SPICE. The chip is working fine, I still get the chip OS it's just when I try to launch evo I just get the MS dash.

My xbox is v1.6 and I had the M_8(not plus) bios running. I tried re-adding it to the lanch menu, I even tried plus but it still doesn't work.

Is there some way I can re-install is w/o some kind of auto installer?

Get ahold of the smallest auto installer you can find.
then burn it to a DVD-R and boot in your xbox..

If you dont have a dvd burner burn onto a CDRW..
You will have to burn onto a few brands before you find the right one that works in your xbox.

Thats it.. Choose to install the EVOX DASHBOARD again from whatever autoinstaller you like.
