to make a long story short i sucsesfuly modded my 1.3 m.board with an alladdin live chip but was so stupid that i didnt know you needed an evox disk to go with it so itook it out and realized my mistake. upon putting it back in i fucked the board up . i bought a 1.6 m.board and hd drive and would like to know ahead of time what problems i might come across please help

you also need a power supply for version 1.6 .
the chip installation will be different then on your 1.3
you have to rebuild the lpc which is couple additional wires to solder ,
and you need bios for 1.6 .....u should use 1.6b bios just in case .

Also, do yourself a favor and don't panic if you intall the 1.6 motherboard in your xbox (after you buy the power supply) and it doesn't power up. Most 1.6 mobo's that are taken out of one machine and put in another will pop the standby resistor and you will have to replace. Let me know if it happens. I have moved a few and so far all but one have done this to me. Not too mention the 1.6 fits a little different in the sub 1.6 cases. Don't be alarmed if you have to make some adjustments.
Do keep in mind that if you are going to try to use the same HD you will get error code 06. You should have purchased a mobo/HD combo if you are not upgrading the HD to a larger one.

If you have to by another harddrive and cd combo why not just get a entire new xbox lol.
