well, I have a couple of things to cover.
1) I installed my Xecuter 2.3b Lite+, but I couldn't seem to get the green LED to light up. I decided to enable the mode and turn the box on to see if the cromwell bios comes up***. It does.
*** I didn't have the tv on because I was only concerned about the LEDs***
2) It asks me to "Insert a CD - flashing mode" and then tells me that "no bios update can be found."
The d0 point is correct (i checked 5 or 6 times to make sure)
I scrapped off the costing (but not too much to damage it)
Everything is seated properly except for the problem in section 1.
I have made 4 cd-rws
-2 of slayer's installer
-2 of just bioses
Could the mod be bad?

I have never chipped a machine so I can't be certain about the light that you mention. Asmunch has used that chip a lot, so he would probably know better.
It could be the ISO you're creating. It could be the media you are using. If it's not recognizing the disk then it could very well be the media.
BTW, just FYI...are you using a dummy file when you just burn the bios'. The slayers disk will be big enough, but just putting bios' on a disk is tough because usually the DVD won't pick up bios' alone. You need to include a dummy file larger than 50megs.

well, I managed to get everything working. apparently i was making the iso wrong and that's why it couldn't read it. i followed some other directions and it worked perfectly.
the only problem i am having now is ftp'ing. filezilla connects but can't display the contents of the drive. i'll try some other programs and look around for help. _________________ XBOX v1.1 - Philips DVD
