Hi....I previously used my aid 1.01 disc and it didn't work right while trying to install on my friends v1.4....It would install evox 3935 half way and get an error so I decided to download the new 2.11 yesterday to see if i could get the drive to stop getting errors. I burnt the disc and attempted to reformat and preprare the drive using aid2.11....That went fine, reinstalled the msdash, and then attempted to install 3935....However it doesn't move past 0% and errors on the evox.ini file then when I reboot I get error 21....Was I supposed to change something in the 2.11 iso or am I just doing something wrong. I had M8+ in it and I am going to go try to load the M8+ 137+ bios that came in the 2.11 folders....Hopefully I am just being a retard and over looked something but I read through some of the posts and didn't see people were having problems with 2.11....any suggestions on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.....Thanks. _________________ Xbox V1.6

I somehow got the dash to work...or at least have some functionability becasuse it still didn't get past 0% when installing but I got the dash to work and copied a game using complex tools to double check to see if it would work....however, when i tried to go to xbmc I got a fatal error saying it couldnt find its backround or something like that and that a network cable was unplugged....I tried to install 3935 on my other 1.0 box I just got and the dash got stuck extracting at evox.ini again.....Do you have any clue why this is happening....could the download have been corrupt yesterday? Thanks. _________________ Xbox V1.6

Ok with XBMC, delete the old gamesave that a previous intall of XBMC could have left.
With the other problems, I'd say this might be caused by a bad burn onto the CD / DVD, as the files are not corrupted when I released it.

Thank you for the reply DJB. I got everything working right now. I tried burning aid to cdrw again but kept getting the same error. I did not think it was my media because it was from the same batch of cds I used on my first xbox with aid1.0....however, I burnt it to a dvd and it worked flawlessly....instead of looking for the xbmc stuff I just reformated the hdd and went from there....I do have to admit man, that is one hell of program. I was so impressed with all of the added features from 1.0...Thanks again, heck I am so impressed I am going to go order a tshirt from forahobby now and you can bet when my year membership expires I'll be getting a lifetime one. Thanks again though! _________________ Xbox V1.6

Hey guys...
this would actually be my first post on the forum...since I've been lurking and trying to soak up as much information on how to do this and get it right.
Truth is, I didn't grow a pair bold enough to get this done until I stumbled across this site.
At any rate, I've gotten the softmod installed, burned the ISO to CD-RW
and the disk boots up..fine..
but in the instructions that I printed..
it says that I should then go to the softmod section and install NK Patcher + MS Dash..
only problem is..I don't have an official softmod section..
is there something that I'm missing?
I see the other things that are selectable in the dash, just not that..
any help would be greatly appreciated.

OK Firstly grab AID 2.11 Final which has all the current problems fixed with it. This should have the "Softmod Section" in the main menu (just like AID 2.0 does).

The softmod section I'm talking about is on the AID CD-RW/DVD itself. You have to boot it in your xbox to access it.

but it's not
I just restored..to my original ms dash..and I'm gonna try it again....

Click on the Launch DVD with AID in the disc tray, that should start it.

burned it at 4x speed..and bam....I'm in..
so far..so good..
thanks for the help ..I know I'm a little slow, but I just got off work..
I can't tell you how much better I feel now..that I actually got this accomplished...
I guess the next step will be a larger HD..
at any rate...thanks....now...I just gotta get into it by ftp..
