Hi, I recently had my xbox modded and have had evox installed as well as several other apps. However, I'm a little confused.
First, I can't change the date/time like I could before - there is an option to open the dashboard through evox, but it returns me to the main menu of evox.
The other thing is that the F: partition appears to have errors - what should I do?
Finally, XBOX Media player turns the LED from greento orange - is there a fault with the machine, or is this an intentional software control?
Help!!

OK, sounds like your hard drve ain't locked, that's why you can't get back to the Microsoft Dashboard to change your time. Once you lock your Drive it should be fine.
What kind of errors are you talking about with the F partition? Some more detail is needed. Worse case scenario you'll have to reformat your HDD.
Xbox Media Player turns the LED orange itself, it's nothing to worry about. In the configuration file you can make it light up various colours, even do a little colour cycle.
Hope this helps...

Thanks DJB, I appreciate your quick response.
The error on Drive F: I refer to - Some skins show the details of each partition as does the file manager in avalaunch - they just display error on Partition F: with no more info.
How do I lock drive F
Cheers

You only lock C Drive, here's a way to lock your drive:
FTP into your Xbox and dump the file called evox.ini from it's C Drive to your PC. Keep a backup!!
Open the file and look for this bit of code:
[Menu]
Section "Root"
{
This is where the Menu starts for Evox. What we have to do is insert some code so we can lock the drive. The following is from the evox.ini file from version 3935, you don't have to enter all of this, just the bit in blue. I've just added the whole lot to show you where to put the extra code:
[Action_10]
LogFile = "f:\lock.log"
Info "This function will lock your XBOX Harddisk"
Warning "You will now lock your XBOX harddisk and will be able"
Warning "to boot from an original XBOX bios"
hddlockenable
[Action_11]
LogFile = "f:\unlock.log"
Info "This function will unlock your XBOX Harddisk"
Warning "You will now unlock your XBOX harddisk and will not be able"
Warning "to boot from an original XBOX bios"
hddlockdisable
Now, transfer the updated evox.ini file to your xbox
Reboot your Xbox
Select Lock Harddisk
Hopefully it should be done.
Hopefully you can follow this
So far as your F Partition goes, I'm guessing you might need to re-format your Xbox. In our VIP Downlaod section I have released my Xbox-Hq EvoX Auto-Installer v1.2 Final Beta, packed full of the latest apps etc. Maybe it might be worth your while to check it out.
