I forgot all about Full Spectrum Warrior being out. Since I have a Blockbuster game pass, I thought why not just stroll over there tonight and grab it up. THEY DONT EVEN STOCK IT!! How can you not stock one of the hottest and most anticipated games of the friggin year. What a joke...they need to change the name of the store to, "Most Blockbusters". _________________ Good Deals: Death@Hand, funkydopenloven, StaticMind, Slamscaper, PorscheXboxter

Don't worry mate, video stores in Australia suck as much ass too.
Here's a small list of recent titles (and not so recent titles) I have been after, and could not get from video shops:
Sonic Heroes
Backyard Wrestling
Manhunt
The Suffering
Now you would think these would be top-name releases hey? Obviously not here, shit like Van Helsing gets put on the shelves immediately but no good games are ever there

I know what you mean. To this day my local Blockbuster doesn't even have Nanco Museum or Midway Arcade Treasures. Two games that are only 19.99 each. But, they have four copies of GTAIII and Vice City and they always have three of them sitting there. There's another bone I have, it was a double pack and they rent them individually...HA....maybe I am being nit picky
I did find a copy of FSW to rent. So far it's pretty cool. The tutorial throws a lot of technical terms to you. There are so many things to control. An awesome sim. _________________ Good Deals: Death@Hand, funkydopenloven, StaticMind, Slamscaper, PorscheXboxter

Video industry is a tough nut to crack. It was my first business in 1988. Was one of three video stores in a very, very, small town. Back then, new VHS releases cost an average of 139.00. I remember some movies that were 179.00 and 199.00. Plus, the average rental charge was only $2.00 for new release and $1.00 for library items. You can't forget about the infamous $.50 rewind fee. I prayed for those....ha. My main problem with blockbuster is in their video game department. XBOX get's absolutely no respect. They have twice as much GC, and four times as much PS2 available games. I think they are missing the xbox market badly. They are only stocking a few of the newer hot games. But, they still have multiple copies of Max Payne 1. Terrible stock control. _________________ Good Deals: Death@Hand, funkydopenloven, StaticMind, Slamscaper, PorscheXboxter

It's the same over here in Australia, hardly any range to choose from. Even in the Retail stores where you buy games I hardly see any. There are heaps more games available then they are getting.
I suppose it's not really just Retail's fault, as they can only sell what they are given to sell, so it's more higher up than just the good old person behind the counter selling you stuff.
It's also like this with DVDs here, a good example is the movie House of 1000 Corpses (written and directed by Rob Zombie). It is NOT available here, and it was supposed to be one of the better horror movies in 2003. Now, I know a lot of horror movie buffs that would love to see this, but because of the way Australia does things it's fucked, most ppl won't see it. I personally had to import the DVD from the US just so I could get it.
Mate, Australia might be a nice place to live, but the people that run it really need a bullet in the head. Games and Movies are so delayed before they are released here, and with DVDs, when they are released here, a good percentage of the time there is hardly any special features. But, you have a look at the US Release and you realise how much stuff we miss.
Anyways I'll stop here coz this is just turning into a bitch post...
