and no its not really that hard to do ,

You're missing the concept. It's not a matter of this can work on that; the problem is that games were specifically developed for xBox hardware and xBox hardware alone.
And no, it's not backwards compatible yet, they are still trying to make it compatible with all titles - probably because if they only made it compat. with best-sellers then it'd cause a bit of outcry. _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world: those who understand binary, and those who can't.

cause my point was misunderstood, and I regret letting the feelings of ultra RESPECT I have for modders affect the purpose of me being in this forum: to help others and learn from others. I'm not here for contraversy, or to flame others. I just don't like the word pirate being thrown around.

NEGITIVE NEGITIVE!!! THE 360 WILL BE ABEL TO EMULATE xbox GAMES, but only certain ones....for ex. Microsoft has offically announced that halo and halo 2 (go fig.) will be compatible...

Actually the xbox 360 will not only be able to emulate certain xbox games but all xbox games.. Their working on it so it can play all xbox games. If they dont have it all worked out by the time its released then they said they will update it through live or dvds or something. Yes the original idea was to have partial compatibilty like u said, now their working on full compatibilty...Dont believe me? Check out articles on Team xbox, Ign, and gamespot.
