In the tutorial on upgrading the hard drive, The one that I found states "using an already chipped xbox". Does any one know of a way just using a PC or can direct me to a site that can help. Thank You.

The program that i've used is xboxhdm (v 1.9 I think). Look for the tut's on this program. If anyone knows of anything better please comment. I definately prefer to use my chipped box.

Use the tutorial from here I used it and it doesn't require a chipped xbox.

I used softmod installer deluxe version 2
it worked better than i expected ...then i followed this link above and installed a new H/D everything works great however i have one major problem ...the games Need for speed underground 2 and burnout 3 no longer boot up....it get's to the loading screen then goes about 3 quarters of the way through the loading bar and then hangs....same thing for NFSU2 it goes to load a profile then hangs and crashes i removed all saves to do with these 2 games then restarted from scratch and sill no joy so next i removed every save on the H/D and started again still no joy....and when i replaced the old H/D and checked they work fine
any ideas where i am going wrong ...i thought if i xferred the contents of both C:\ AND E:\ to my xboxhdmaker folder then made the iso from that it should work exactly the same as the old H/D when i installed it to the new one how can i be getting an error on only those 2 games ...(others i have tried work fine ) in short the old hard drive boots everything fine ...the new one boots everything fine except nfsu2 and burnout 3.....WHY???????ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED
