Has anyone had a problem with AID on 1.6b using M8plus Beta 4 for the 1.6b machines??

Here is what is happening to me:

I got my very first 1.6b machine. YAY. M8plus fine. With the stock HD in I was able to boot the AID disk and install EvoX so I could FTP and grab my customers gamesaves out of the UDATA/TDATA folders.

I then swapped stock HD for blank, non-partioned/formatted hard drive. Basically, I cannot get the AID disk to boot. I do not get any error screens so it's not a media issue. If it was a media issue, I would end up getting error screens because the Xbox would naturally try to boot to the HD and find a dashboard.

This is basically just freezing like the older AID 1.0 disks that were giving problems due to the intro.

Obviously, no intro issue here..

Any ideas??

I am now formatting the hard drive on my daughters machine. Then I am going to see how it works.

Like always, I end up answering my own question...lol.

Turns out, there is a problem with the Yoshi M8plus beta 4 bios.

I tried another M8plus bios and so far all is cool, except that it's not recognizing anything above and beyond 137GB on the 200GB HD..so, I downloaded EvTool 1.0.9 since I was only using 1.0.6...

The 1.0.9 has M8 support. Burning the new bios disk now...in hopes that joy will finally be had Wink
