I've been fiddiling around with my xbox for several days now and getting VERY frustrated, for some reason (it doesn't matter which dashboard I use, evox or Xunleashed) the "Launch dvd" will not work at all! I'm not quite sure why, but dvd's do work? (Maybe because it uses the dongle dvd application). However, backed up games and audio won't. When I click on the "launch dvd / play media from dvd" it just shows the logo of the dashboard I'm using, and then goes back to the dashboard menu.

try installing avalauch for your dashboard, it has a built in DVD player and sould launch the DVD when you put it in without doing anything else. By the way, will your Box still play games? If not it may be a drive issue.
Well it does play games when I had the normal xbox ms dashboard installed, although even from the main "installer menu" where you can pick which ui you want, it *still* does it. So I don't think changing my dash is gonna make a difference ethier way. I'm thinking it might have to do with my .ini file or something like that.
