Okay, I do NOT know how to solder, but I want a modchip badly. The main reason I want a modchip is becuase I want to put a FULL linux OS on my xbox so I can surf the web n stuff...Since I do not know how to solder, what modchip is the best for installing linux and stuff? I'm completely clueless so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Actually, I would recommend any fourth generation mod chip.
SmartXX V2, X3, Xenium Ice.
The SmartXX V2 comes with a Linux CD, but from what I hear Gentoox is the way to go. I am not a linux user, so not sure why most users go Gentoox...
But, as far as the chip goes, you are safe with any of those. That much I can say.
