I backed mine up and so far all is good. Hard to say why yours isn't reading off of HD.

What are you using to rip the original disk to the HD? Are you using DVD2Xbox?

Okay, IC. I have never backed up a game straight to disk so I am unsure of what can even go wrong during that process. So far, everytime I have backed up to disk I have ripped to HD first, and then I FTP it to my PC and create my ISO for burning. Never had a problem going that route as long as I use DVD2Xbox to do the ripping.

yup, thats it bud.

When you rip a game using DVD2Xbox it circumvents the copyprotection.

That's the problem bud, if you use dvd2xbox you will be safe as a home run Wink

Post subject: ISO Creation

Hey Guys,
thanks for the post, I want to back up my copy of Splinter Cell also. It's an original which allowed me to softmod. So, I want to keep it as pristine as possible as I never know when I'm gonna screw something up.

Does DVD2XBox give you and ISO image you can just burn to DVD? Or do you need to create the image once you FTP it to your PC? If you need to create an image, what tool do you recomend for that?

thanks again
