Just wondering if anybody follows the UFC?

If so, have you been watching the reality show on Spike TV called "Ultimate Fighter"..

I am hooked on this show! Looks like only three more episodes to go!! I love the last twist on last weeks show.

Basically, the show is this. They started off with a group of UFC wanabees. They have split them up into two teams and have legendary coaches. UFC fighters Randy "The Natural" Couture and Chuck "The Iceman" Lidell... God, don't you just love those names. So, these coaches help train their fighters. Every week they have a challenge, team versus team. They are all physical challenges. Relay races with twists like pulling 200 pound sand bags in mud, shit like that. The team that wins gets to allow one of their fighters to pick who to fight on the other team. Then, the fighter that loses is off the show.

They all live in the same house...it's like real world meets fear factor, and at the end of the show someone gets to beat the shit out of someone...lol.

Well, they are down to four fighters on each team and they just made an announcement that instead of fighting other teams, they will now have to fight their own team mates. People who they have trained with, bonded with...it was wild.

The winner of each weight group wins a UFC contract...it's pretty cool.

later all

C'mon, not ONE UFC fan...sheesh..

You guys don't know what your are missing.

If you get SpikeTV on April 9th the first ever NON-PayPerView and non-Repeat UFC event will be held on cable television!!! This is huge for the UFC.

For those who have not recently watched an Ultimate Fighting Championship match you do not know what you are missing.

If you boxing has fallen out of your grace, then step over to the UFC!! I guarantee you in six years UFC will be a heavily televised event on Showtime or HBO.

Boxinging is dead...why?? No heavyweight heros man. Gone are the Evander Holyfields, Gone are the Mike Tysons, and even gone are the Lennox Lewis's who were even pretty boring to watch, but better than anyone in the heavy weight division now.

UFC is real man... rarely does it go to the judges score cards. There is either a knock out or a submission. Thats another bad thing about boxing. You can have two people slapping eachother around with their 8oz gloves for 12 freaking rounds and the winner is crowned because he's popular, not because he beat the other guy!!! You dont see shit like that in the UFC. Plus, only 4oz gloves baby! Holy shit do you get to see some knockouts!!!

Check your local listings for the show on April 9th. If you have comcast and have High Definition and get the channel called INHD and INHD 2 they are always showing the PPV events free of charge about six months after they occur. They have UFC and K1 fighting. K1 is like golden glove boxing compared to UFC!!

Also on the April 9th card are the four finalists from the reality show called Ultimate Fighter. Two people (one from middle weight and one from light heavy weight) have made it through the season and are fighting for the 6 figure contracts!!

Yeah he is..he's huge dude.. he used to play in the NFL..cant remember th team though.

He usually gases out though, no conditioning whatsoever. I actually watched him get knocked out once...

If you get spikeTV make sure you catch the UFC event on April 9th. I used to love K1 and even Pride Fighting, but after watching the UFC there is no contest.

Imagine K1 where they only where half the size gloves (they look like weight lifting gloves!!), are allowed submission moves (arm bars, naked chokes, triangles, ankle bars, toe bars, and so many more submission moves), they allow elbows to the head, knees while holding behind the back of the neck...all kinds of stuff.

It is war everytime they go into the ring! You have to check it out!!

I dont think anyone from K1 would make it to the second round in UFC competition... They are used to clinching and then getting broken up... in UFC it's all out war.

I just saw Sapp in the movie Electra... cracked me up he got another movie gig.. he is huge in Japan!!

The final was awesome...(ultimate fighter final) I knew Kenny Florian was going to get smoked by Diego in less than a minute...which he did...

The second fight was incredible..never saw anything like that in my life.

Then, Ken Shamrock (The worlds most dangerous Man...which needs to now say, "PREVIOUSLY, the worlds most dangerous man) got rocked!! And, I mean ROCKED

They only had three fights that night.

Kenny Florian VS Deigo Sanchez

Stepan Bonner VS Forest Griffith

Ken Shamrock VS Rich (something)

The Bonner/Griffith fight was sick! Very awesome. And Shamrock got his ass whooped...the old man is washed up... although he did get lucky three months ago and kneed Kimo in the head while he was bent over and knocked out the 245lb beast!

PPV EVENT Tonight I am pretty sure! Will have to check but Randy "THE NATURAL" Cotoure is again putting his light heavyweight belt on the line and giving Chuck "THE ICEMAN" Liddell another shot at the title. This is going to be one hell of a fight!!

If I were in the UFC my name would be Jeff "THE MAD MODDER" McCloy...lol.

Man, just got done watching the PPV event...

My man Randy Coutore got knocked out for the first time in his career in the first minute of the first round.

Like I said, Chuck Liddell is the only guy I ever saw knock out a fighter while back peddling!! What a sniper he is. I have no idea what Coutore was thinking just standing up and slugging with a slugger...sheesh. Major disappointment.

The Frank Trigg / Matt Hughes fight was awesome though!

Anyone here catch the event?? I recorded an hour of it on my PC. I thought the whole damn thing would record but because it's not a listed channel in the Media Center Edition TV guide it only records one hour unless I set a manual timer to shut it down, which I didn't. So, I missed a few things. I recorded it on my DVR, but does me no good to make a clip or two for people to see this knock out!
