please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have my linux installer saved on my memory card 3 different ones... i can copy them to my hard drive with no probs but when i try to load these profiles in my splinter cell profiles they arent there!!!!! can anybody help?????? please!!!!!!!!!! i have tried everything possible but to no avail! all the other forums say it is easy!! am i just being dumb or wot???? i would realy like to get this to wrk as i have spent many hours on it {just to get memory card to wrk!!!} thanks in advance!!

How many diff. Saves do you have? You should have a "Linux INstallar" And a "Splinter Cell Profile" If you want , when i get home (Im in a 3d modeling class right now) I'll go ahead and give you the save in Action Replay formant for the profile. Sound good?

that would be great and very much appreciated! the files i have got are just ones i downloaded from action replay community! they are-linux instalin! splinter cell linux install! and linux instal softmod pr1! none of them wrk!!! i can get them on my hard drive but they dont show up as profiles in my splinter cell game!!! thanks alot for any help!!!!!!!!

oh one more thing!! none of the guides i have read have said anything about a splinter cell profile! in fact they all say u should delete all splinter cell saves from the hard drive and just copy linux!! is this where im going wrong??? i always thought a softmod was the easy way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks again!

whats up vyeshaun, first you need to make sure you have an original copy of the first "Splinter Cell" game. Next, you should copy two Splinter Cell saves to your memory pack (UnRARed) which will show up in two different places on your modded harddrive after you FTP them, both are named "Linux" i believe. One is the actual game save(the small one) and the large one is the exploit with the softmod installer and the hacked dashboards.
After you transfer the files from the memory pack from the unmodded Box, turn it off then restart it with the ORIGINAL "Splinter Cell" game in the DVD drive. Go to start game from the Main Menu then i believe you will have the opportunity to load the exploit which should still be named "Linux Installer" or maybe just "Linux" i can't remember then load it up and you're in. Just make obsolute sure you you read and understand the instructions that come with the installer when you download it and backup everything that it tells you to. the first time i tried this I treated my self to a nice fat "Error 21" because I didn't back up everything I should of and it was a bitch to fix it so BACKUP. Also make sure that you have the latest MS Dashboard installed on your Box or when you go to play a new game it Automatically updates it and will mess up your Box, at least that's what I've heard and read, never experienced it myself, I believe it's explained in greater detail in the instruction manual for the SID.
An aside, if you're trying to softmod a V1.6a or b, I don't believe you can upgrade the harddrive, at least no way that I've come across but I could be absolutely wrong. I believe this is because there is no reflashable chip or TSOP, in the V.1.6's, the chips are erase protected there for you can not run any burned images (Like the AID) without the retail harddrive that has the hacked Dashboard on it from the softmod. The only way I think you can upgrade the harddrive in the new ones is by installing a chip in them because you can flash BIOS on them that enable you to load burned images from the DVD drive, i.e...AID. This is probably what i'm going to end up doing because i hate the DVD drive in my Box right now (it's very picky) and have heard that the new ones are a little more accepting i believe they are the Phillips.
