hi,

with the aladdin advance im sure you have to soldier two points on the MODCHIP before it will let you flash it.. Its been a while actually..

Really if your xbox is working fine i wouldnt suggest flashing it anyway.. The only reason why you may want to flash your modchip bios is IF it DOESNT SUPPOER larger hdd's in the xbox and im pretty sure it will mate..

so dont go playing or you may stuff it up and have to buy a modchip programmer to get it working again..

anyway, thought id let you know.

enjoy HQ!

I got mine installed in MArch 2004 so the bios flashed on it then support larger hard drives? I want a 160GB like yours.

use evox dashboard to try and detect what bios your running.. Smile
it will come up on the main screen in some skins..

Also, i think there may be some xbox apps that can detect the bios type.. Just look and search around on HQ..

install evox as a dashboard or application and then choose a skin which dispays the xbox bios on the screen..

Im sure evox will pick it up.. Your bios cant be that old anyway.

You mostly need to modify your evox.ini file to include flash type sst 49LF020A as it is not on the AID evox ini file

Install Evox from Auto-Installer Deluxe v1.01 which has an updated list of BIOSes. this may help.
