Ive just received my Spider v1.1
I followed the installation manual v1.1 for my xbox version 1.0
I successfully was able to power up the chip, and get both the lcd on the chip and switch working. I was unable, however to successfully load the spider bios screen. I have the "D" wire, in the correct hole as shown in the tutorial. Whenever I power up the box, however, the standard green animation occurs and brings me to the regular xbox hub...where do I go from here-is my chip defective?

I need help, thank you

in most cases this is caused by the solder filled lpc holes (most common on xbox mobo versions 1.0-1.1)... you should remove the solder from the lpc holes via desolder braid or solder pump. i do remeber someone saying they just smushed the solder into the lpc holes allowing the chip to boot, but that isnt proper way to do it.

Yes, that makes sense.
I will try that.
Thank you so much for your reply.

I just some small sharp tweezers and pole little holes into the plc holes. then when the chip goes is its as snug as a bug
